Indigenous Brazilians protest at Copa America

Holding signs reading: ''No to Copa, Yes to vaccines,'' the indigenous tribe members complained the event is taking place despite the high number of cases and deaths due to COVID-19 in the country.

About 120 indigenous people took part in the march, which left from the Levante Camp, located next to the National Theatre. The indigenous people also demonstrated in defense of their rights.

They demanded the demarcation of their lands and vaccines for everyone, in addition to denouncing the government of Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro and his anti-indigenous policies.
