KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 — It’s a meeting of nature, music and arts happening this weekend (October 7 and 8) at TAPAUfest 2023.

The two-day indie music festival will return to Resort Tasik Raban in Lenggong, Perak where indie music lovers get to enjoy live performances from their favourite bands against the backdrop of a beautiful lake and majestic mountains.

This time around, TAPAUfest will feature top and rising indie artists from four countries including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.

The lineup for the weekend includes artists such as Zee Avi (Malaysia), Rub of Rub (Indonesia), Jemson (Malaysia), Force Vomit (Singapore), Door Plant (Thailand), Nadin Amizah (Indonesia) and Bayangan (Malaysia).

Festival goers will also have the opportunity to camp out for two nights at the resort where bonfire sessions and acoustic performances await, which includes a performance by local singer Amir Jahari.

Alternatively, festival goers have the option to immerse themselves in laidback activities such as chilling on hammocks, biking and joining in the community cookout.

Aside from that, the festival features indie art and community workshops as well as local indie short screenings at their BENGKEL and LAYAR segment which is co-curated by KakiSeni.

“Instead of trying to make the festival bigger from one year to the next, our focus this year is on making sure that we pay more attention to the details.

“Especially in getting the indie community and the locals of Lenggong to come together in terms of curation and participation,” said TAPAUAsia creative director Ahmad Faris.

Last year’s TAPAUfest saw around 3,000 festival goers attending the two-day event.

Tickets for TAPAUfest 2023 are still available with prices from RM175 to RM1,200.
