Indicted NYC Mayor Eric Adams Gets Hit Hard For Mets-Yankees Hat Amid Playoffs
New York City Mayor Eric Adams was charged with an error by critics Monday after he wore a baseball hat adorned with both the Mets and Yankees logos.
Adams showed off his apparel at the Columbus Day Parade Monday as the city’s baseball teams play in the National and American League championship series respectively ― perhaps en route to a subway World Series.
But many fans rejected the impartial vibe amid his status as an indicted leader facing charges of bribery, fraud and soliciting illegal foreign campaign donations.
“Eric Adams needs to go to jail for wearing this hat,” one person wrote on X.
“I’m all for Carl Jung and the duality of man, but this is egregious,” another joked.
“To be fair, he doesn’t know yet which team his cellmate may be supporting,” someone else cracked.
Others also took their swings at the beleaguered mayor:
won't be the last time he wears orange
