Indian police officer performs yoga in sub-zero temperatures in Ladakh

An officer from India's Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) did yoga in nothing but a pair of shorts, despite sub zero conditions. The incident took place on 20 July in Ladakh region, at an altitude of 18,000 feet (5486m). Video showed the man performing the 'Surya-Namaskar' sequence of yoga moves on a mat surrounded by snow. It was even snowing at the time. But the freezing conditions and his lack of clothing did not cool his enthusiasm and he pulled off the sequence of moves expertly. Ladakh is administered by India as a union territory. It is part of the wider Kashmir region. Parts of it are also claimed by Pakistan and China.
