Image of Myanmar Military Leader Destroyed in Bangkok Protest

An image of a Myanmar military leader was destroyed during a protest in Bangkok, Thailand, on February 1 over the seizure of power by the army in Myanmar.

Myanmar’s military TV channel confirmed a state of emergency had been declared for one year and power was being handed to commander-in-chief Min Aung Hlaing, according to media reports.

The NLD won sufficient seats to form a government in the November election; however, the army has called the election fraudulent.
