Ilana Glazer Says She Thinks This “Broad City” Scene Is the Most Underrated: 'I Could Use That Line Myself' (Exclusive)

The standout moment for Glazer took place in the second-to-last episode of the iconic comedy series

Ilana Glazer has a Broad City line that she considers to be the most underrated.

While appearing on the Jan. 16 episode of PEOPLE in 10, the actress and comedian, 37, detailed that she thinks there’s a specific line from the hit Comedy Central series that should get quoted more often.

“In [season 5, episode 9] — in the second to last episode ever — Abbi and Ilana are on drugs, realizing that they’re codependent. And they’re like, 'We’re little codees! We’re little codees!' " Glazer recalled.

“And it never, like, picked up as its own thing, and I think it should, because I’m so codependent with so many people. I could use that line myself,” the star continued.

The critically acclaimed comedy series, which aired from 2014 to 2019, followed the misadventures of best friends Abbi and Ilana as they navigated young adulthood in New York City.

Glazer initially created the show as a web series with her real-life bestie and creative collaborator, Abbi Jacobson, before it was eventually discovered by Amy Poehler, who championed the concept and ultimately helped get it on the air.

Glazer told PEOPLE that she’s excited to continue fostering her personal creativity in the coming year.

“I’m a really generative person. I’m productive. But I want to be writing more. Speaking more," she explained, adding: "I want to be surfing through this year and not looking to the side, not paying attention to nonsense or people who are specifically trying to bring me down — you down — all of us down.”

“I’m very politically active and politically minded,” Glazer continued. "But right now, I’m focusing on the personal. On my personal, pleasurable experience. And, yeah, that focus, I think, will let us see each other ... and then leave the nonsense to the margins.”

Glazer also said that her recent standup tour was one of the best professional experiences she’s ever had — in part because she was able to coordinate it around quality time with her husband and 3-year-old daughter.

“You know, standup typically happens on the weekends,” she explained to PEOPLE. "And, like, that’s the time that I reconned with my family."

"So my husband and I were talking about it, and I was like, ‘You don’t understand! It has to be Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays!’ He was like, ‘What if it’s Thursdays and Fridays?’ And I was like. ‘You’re a genius. You’re a genius!’ That’s how I planned the tour," she said.

“I performed in 48 cities, 52 shows and took my time doing it,” Glazer continued. “And it made the standup, I think, the funniest standup I’ve ever done. And I had the most fun I ever had, [because] I really wanted to be there every single show that I did.”
