Since the beginning of the pandemic, everyone has been trying to find ways to bring travel into their home, whether it’s through virtual tours, Zoom backgrounds, or savvy shopping. IKEA in Dubai has taken a clever route with its new “Vacations in a Box," which help incorporate the vibe of popular travel destinations like Paris and Tokyo into your home.

The “Vacations in a Box” are essentially a round-up of IKEA products—pillows, glassware, rugs, decor accents—paired with a downloadable booklet filled with recommendations for music, movies, recipes, and activities that’ll help you recreate the location in your home. There are four boxes available: Sunrise in Cappadocia, Turkey; Teatime in Tokyo; Feet up in the Maldives; and L’amour in Paris.

The boxes are currently only available in store and online in the United Arab Emirates, but here’s to hoping they become available all over. We could all use a makeshift Parisian café on the balcony or a pretend beach escape in the backyard. In the meantime, all of the booklets are downloadable, so you can follow the Turkey-based flick recommendations or discover a short playlist of French music. The IKEA products listed for each box are easy to look up in a separate search and add to your cart online or try to find in stores. You can definitely take advantage of this concept if you put a little effort into it. There's plenty of time for it!
