We all have some iconic Ikea furniture in our homes, but now the budget store is moving into an unexpected new realm: baby-naming...
The Scandinavian store's products have been the style inspiration for UK homes for years, but now they are also hoping to inspire parents when it comes to picking names for their newborns.
Now Ikea have come up with an online catalogue of some of their archived furniture ranges over the years to give parents a helping hand when it comes to finding a quirky and original moniker for their child.
In there are some some traditional names that may have been long-forgotten like Belinda, Agnes and Daphne as well some more unique ones including Edda, Kalle and Leif.
But would you want to tell your baby they were named after some flat-pack shelving?
Ikea Norway says: "Finding the name of the child can be both difficult and fun. We at IKEA have given names to products for more than 70 years. So, if you are completely stuck, or just want some inspiration, here you will find over 800 boy names and girl names. Everything from popular Ivar to more rare names like Moalie."
