Ida Brings Strong Winds and Rain to Mississippi

Strong winds and rain pelted down on Starkville, Mississippi, as Tropical Depression Ida rolled into the state, footage posted on August 30 shows.

After the then hurricane left New Orleans and other parts of Louisiana flooded and damaged, the storm, weakening to a tropical depression, brought flooding to Mississippi.

Ida was carrying winds of up to 145 mph when it made landfall on Sunday, according to the National Hurricane Center, and was expected to bring dangerous weather to Tennessee later in the week.
