I would be half asleep without my Nespresso VertuoPlus coffeemaker — and it's 30% off for Presidents' Day
Caffeine fiends will want to snag this No. 1 bestseller while it's marked down by $75 for Amazon's Presidents' Day Sale.
Last year, my coffeemaker broke. I woke up to dirty water, ground beans and coffee all over my countertop and kitchen floor. As someone who mostly works from home and relies on a daily cup of joe (fine, more like three cups), this was a nightmare. I needed a replacement, ASAP. Lots of research and scrolling online led me to the Nespresso — specifically, the VertuoPlus Deluxe — and I bought it, at full price. I was captivated by how sleek the black and chrome looked and that the water tank held a ridiculous 60 ounces of water (read: less time spent refilling). Luckily, you can get it for 30% off during the Amazon Presidents' Day Sale.

You can make delicious coffee and espresso beverages with the touch of a button. Plus, each machine comes with a milk frother and a starter set of Nespresso capsules to help you find your favorite brew.
Why is it a good deal?
Nespresso machines are so sought-after, they aren't often marked down unless it's a big sales holiday. While this isn't the absolute lowest price we've seen for this model, it's close — and a $75 discount is one we'd happily take.
Why do I need this?
Unlike many other coffeemakers, the No. 1 bestselling Nespresso VertuoPlus Deluxe brews a near-endless variety of coffees, espressos, lattes and more with the pull of a lever. Seriously, there’s only one button on this beauty.
While outwardly simple and straightforward, the behind-the-scenes mechanics of this smart machine are anything but. It knows the difference between different size cups, and how to make an espresso versus a double or a cup of coffee, as if by magic. The wizardry lies in the pods the Nespresso uses, each stamped with unique bar codes that determine the correct parameters to brew a perfect cup, every time. All you have to do is press a button.
The handy appliance even comes with a milk frother and a welcome set of 12 assorted coffee capsules, so you can get started on finding your favorite pod. Mine is Melozio, which has cereal notes and a honey-like sweetness.
The machine can brew four different sizes of coffee, and it heats up in under fifteen seconds. It also automatically turns off once it finishes creating your perfect cup. Plus, once you’re done, the Nespresso disposes of your pod by sliding it into an attached container, which you can empty out and recycle once it’s full (with daily use, it takes me about two weeks to fill it up).
As for the coffee itself, each blend I’ve tried is super creamy and foamy and makes me feel like I should be paying a barista instead of just pressing a button on a device. Even my snobbiest coffee-loving friends rave about it, and either want a Nespresso machine or have already bought one.
What reviewers say
While I’m happy to wax poetic about my Nespresso all day, 4,400-plus shoppers have given it a perfect five-star rating. Even Keurig devotees have made the switch.
"If you’re considering buying this, definitely do it," wrote a content convert. "Prior to purchasing this, I used a Keurig, but I found myself in the Starbucks line more often than not. After hearing so many good things about the Nespresso machines, I decided to purchase this machine ... I have made my coffee at home every day since. I’d argue it’s better than Starbucks, plus you’re saving so much in the long run."
"I like the water reservoir's ability to swing to the left or right as needed for where the Nespresso is placed on the counter," shared another impressed buyer. "Love the way used capsules are lifted up and out of the capsule holder and slide down into the capsule container at the rear of the Nespresso. When it's full of used capsules, the capsule container is easily lifted off the back of the Nespresso, the used capsules disposed of and the container returned to its place again on the back of the Nespresso. No fuss, no muss!"
"I LOVE this machine!" gushed a final fan. "The coffee is fabulous; it is a bit noisy, but other than that, absolutely no complaints."
The Nespresso VertuoPlus only has one button, so it's laughably easy to use. Plus, the slim design can fit in small spaces (or on cluttered kitchen counters).
And for fancier drinks, the Nespresso Lattissima One is also on sale:
This high-end machine is perfect for those who like coffee with a little frou-frou. It makes espresso and latte macchiatos, as well as delicious, foamy cappuccinos with the push of a button; plus, it comes with a single-serve refillable milk jug and has two size capabilities.
It's speedy, too, according to one happy shopper: "It takes 25 seconds to have a wonderful espresso and about 35 seconds to have a cappuccino. What a fantastic world! Small appliance that doesn't take up lots of counter space and looks elegant."
