Hurricane Ida Rips Apart Carport in Houma, Louisiana

Hurricane Ida made landfall in Louisiana on August 29 as a category 4 storm, with maximum sustained winds of 150 mph, the National Hurricane Center reported.

Flash flood warnings were in effect across the region, where authorities urged residents to take shelter.
