Hurricane-Force Winds Uproot Tree as Ida Hits New Orleans

Storm Ida made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane in coastal Louisiana on Sunday, August 29, bringing maximum sustained winds of 150 mph, the National Hurricane Center said.

Mike Bradley posted videos to Twitter that he recorded during the storm demonstrating the force of the wind as it uprooted a tree at a senior center in the Algiers area of New Orleans, he said.
