Strong waves from Hurricane Enrique slammed into a beach resort in Colima on the west coast of Mexico on Sunday afternoon (June 27). Hurricane Enrique formed on Saturday and was expected to remain parallel to the Mexican coast throughout the weekend. The hurricane is also expected to produce 6 to 12 inches of rain until Tuesday. The National Hurricane Centre warned that the amount of rain would likely produce life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides over portions of southwestern Mexico.
