Hurricane Earl Swells Affect Bermuda and US East Coast

Tropical Storm Earl caused lingering rain showers and gusty wind as it moved away from Bermuda, on Friday, September 9, according to the Bermuda Weather Service

The National Hurricane Center said that Earl would likely become a “powerful post-tropical cyclone” on Saturday.

Video posted by @Sportschickca, which they said was filmed on Thursday, shows gusts of wind blowing in Pembroke Parish as waves crash on the shore.

Swells from the storm may cause “life-threatening surf and rip current conditions” in Bermuda and on the east coast of the United States, according to the National Hurricane Center. Credit: @Sportschickca via Storyful
