Hungry elephant breaks through wall looking for food

House owner Kittichai Boodchan woke up in the middle of the night after hearing the sound of the wall cracking and kitchen appliances crushing. He saw a three-meter tall elephant using its head to break into his house and eating food that it could find on the kitchen counter.

"He ate cooking oil and some of the sauce from bottles," said house owner Kittichai Boodchan who has seen the same elephant, paid a visit before in June. He added that he plans to move out of the national park area in the eastern part of Thailand due to fear for his family's safety.

The local authority has promised to repair the house following the incident.
