Hundreds Protest Roe Reversal Outside White House

Demonstrators marched in Washington DC and staged a sit-down protest outside the White House on Saturday, July 9, in opposition to the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v Wade, its landmark 1973 ruling that legalized abortion nationwide.

The march was organized by Women’s March, a movement calling for a “Summer of Rage#” in response to the Supreme Court’s decision.

According to the Washington Post hundreds of protestors took part in the demonstration, which saw many demonstrators tying ribbons reading “Bans Off Our Bodies” to the White House fence. Credit: @crystaldstreet via Storyful
