Hundreds of Arrests Reported as Unrest Continues in South Africa

The death toll in days of violence and looting in South Africa had reached at least 72 by Tuesday evening, July 13, the government said. More than 1,200 arrests had been made.

This footage was published by the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government, and shows handcuffed men on the road. Officials said they were, “Dealing effectively and decisively with criminal elements in KZN.”
