6 Nov– Although Jacqueline Wong's previous cheating scandal nearly had his drama, "Finding Her Voice" shelved by TVB, Hugo Ng is still hoping that the actress will be given a second chance by the company and netizens alike.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who spoke about his younger co-star on the RTHK radio show, "Those Were the Days", said that Jacqueline is a very good actress, despite the controversy surrounding her previous scandal with singer Andy Hui.
"She is very smart, and was able to create a great chemistry with Owen Cheung, her love interest in the drama," he said.
Hugo said that the world is unpredictable, and that everybody is bound to make mistakes in their life.
"Work and private life are two different things and should not be confused with one another," he added.
Asked if he thinks Jacqueline should quit showbiz, the actor stated that that would be the actress' own personal decision. It is noted that the actress has yet to return to Hong Kong since she left to Los Angeles to pursue studies in acting following the previous scandal.
"I only hope that people will be more tolerant and forgiving," he added.
