Anyway, Hugh and Elizabeth dated literally forever, but then he was arrested for lewd conduct with a sex worker in 1995 and things ultimately went downhill afterwards—as you can imagine. The pair managed to overcome this and are still close, though. As Hugh put it on Watch What Happens Live, "The sex bit probably fizzled out, but now she's my absolute best friend — number one person I call in a crisis."

Meanwhile, Elizabeth said, also on WWHL, "He used to really annoy me, actually. I mean, I love him, but, um, he's very annoying. My friends used to call him Grumpelstiltskin. He is very grumpy."

Jemima Khan: 2004 to 2007

Hugh and Jemima dated for a few years, but kept things pretty low key before breaking up (though there were rumors they'd gotten engaged). According to The Standard "The couple's romance has never been a smooth affair. There have been rumours of break-ups, engagements and the constant suggestion that Grant's continuing closeness to his former girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley posed a threat."

Also, apparently Jemima broke up with him because a watch he gave her stopped working?

Tinglan Hong: 2011 to 2012 ish (on and off)

Hugh and Tinglan had two children together before their split, and their relationship was suuuuper private. To the point where there aren't any readily available photos of them together! They were also pretty on-again off-again, but apparently Tinglan was harassed by paps after having their first baby—and had to even take out an injunction against the paps.

Anna Eberstein: 2012 to Current

Hugh and Anna Eberstein connected during Hugh's relationship with Tinglan (again, they were on and off!) and they've been together for years. In fact, they have several children—a son and two daughters. They also made things official and got married in 2015, and Hugh made it clear they did so for love:

Hugh recently gushed about Anna on the smartless podcast, saying "I just can't believe she likes me" and added "I'm a bit chatty compared to Swedish men, and she was married before to a very butch ski champion instructor or something."

He also spoke about his kids very sweetly, saying "I'm going home tonight, and you know, let's face it, the bit where they jump in your arms. The 6-year-old, you know, she calls it her chimpanzee hug. I quite like that. I've made myself cry."
