Hugh Grant Says He Doesn't Recall Ever Making Out with Luann de Lesseps but Jokes 'Her Memory Might Be Better Than Mine'

Hugh Grant recalls an alleged steamy moment between himself and Luann de Lesseps a little differently than she does.

On Monday, Nov. 25, the Heretic actor responded to the Real Housewives of New York City alum's claim that she and Grant, 64, once "heavily" made out.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Grant wrote, "Steady on. I do remember meeting a charming RHNY in a restaurant, but I’d like to stress it was about 15 years ago."

"I don’t recall shots or kissing but her memory might be better than mine," he quipped.

De Lesseps, 59, recounted a heated moment she allegedly shared with Grant in an interview with Too Fab during her Marry F Kill! cabaret tour.

The Bravo star said she decided to dine at a restaurant in New York's the Hamptons called Pierre’s after her friend told her that English actor was there.

"I called and said, 'Get the table right next to Hugh Grant,' " de Lesseps told the outlet. "I had my family over, my brother was visiting me, and I said, 'Let's go.' "

While at the eatery, de Lesseps set up what she called a "flirting 101" ploy that involved her sitting behind Grant and casually bumping into him while pushing out her chair — after which she apologized to the Notting Hill star.

"I go, 'I'm so sorry. Can I buy you a shot? I feel terrible,' " she recalled. "He goes, 'Okay, but I'll come have a shot with you if you do one with me.' "

According to the reality star, the night progressed from there, and the two ended up "taking shots and making out … heavily at the table," she claimed.

"My brother was like, 'I can't believe you're making out with Hugh Grant,' and I was like, 'Neither can I,' " de Lesseps added.

She went on to reveal that she wanted to have a romantic encounter with actor Gerard Butler, but he was not single during the time she found herself in an elevator with him.
