Huge Waves Batter Southeast Indian Coast as Deadly Cyclonic Storm Gulab Hits

Waves battered the coast of Andhra Pradesh, India, on September 27 as Cyclonic Storm Gulab passed through the state.

This footage shows large waves crashing over a pier near Chintapalli Beach, knocking a person over. The individual is seen standing up at the end of the video.

Elsewhere, at least 13 people have died since September 27 due to conditions caused by Cyclonic Storm Gulab in the state of Maharashtra, according to India Today.

The Indian Air Force said they rescued three people from precarious conditions in Latur on September 29, and 16 people in Osmanabad the day before.
