Huge Rockslide Makes for 'Wild Ride' for Lake Powell Boaters
It was a Memorial Day to remember for a boating couple at Lake Powell this year, after they witnessed a massive cliff face tumble into the water as they passed by.
“It’s been a bit of a wild ride this year at Lake Powell,” Mila Carter concluded on Instagram, after capturing dramatic footage of the rockslide while her husband Steve sped away from the ensuing wave.
Speaking to KUTV, Carter said the wave “would have just swallowed our boat and swallowed jet skiers or kayakers or anything in its way,” but luckily, she said, “everyone was in the right place at the right time.” Credit: Mila Carter via Storyful
