Huge python tears home apart as Jakarta firefighters fight to remove it from ceiling

A stubborn python tore a room apart as firefighters battled to remove it from the home it was occupying in Jakarta, Indonesia. In the incident on 21 December, Firefighters from the Kramat Jati Sector Fire Station evacuated a python at around 3am local time, from a house in East Jakarta. As the video shows, it was not an easy job, as the snake was in the ceiling and not keen to leave. Even once it had been pulled down from the ceiling -- along with much of the ceiling -- it wrapped itself around anything it could to avoid being taken away. But in the end the firefighters were able to complete the job and successfully removed the beast from the building.
