Lightning flashed across Los Angeles, California, for hours on June 22-23. Local news reported more than 4,900 strikes around Los Angeles County during the rare early-summer storm.

This footage of lightning was filmed by Twitter user @iamsikora, who said he “woke up to thunder and lightning.”
