All holidays have their traditions, and Valentine’s Day is no exception. Year after year, the day brings everything from overpriced roses and giant stuffed bears to fancy, planned dinners. If you’re tired of all this, the Canadian chain Hotel Zed has you covered this year with a promo that aims to spice up your V-Day.
The deal is called “Baby Maker Nooner,” and it’s exactly what you think it is (i.e. it involves a middle-of-the-day quickie that may result in a bigger fam). On February 14, you can check into one of the hotel’s two locations in either Victoria or Kelowna. For $59, you can stay at the hotel from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to enjoy a few hours of uninterrupted quality time (*wink wink*). If you welcome a baby into your family nine months after this rendezvous, the hotel will give you a free Valentine’s Day stay at the location of your choice for the next 18 years. Wild!
The hotel has offered the “Nooner” V-Day promo for the past few years, but the new baby-making incentive adds a bit of a twist. "I don't think we're going to convince someone who's not thinking about having a baby to have a baby. But if you're serious about expanding your family, why wouldn't you try?" the hotel’s CEO Mandy Farmer told CNN Travel. "If you succeed, you'll win a way to celebrate your baby's conception for the next 18 years."
The hotel welcomes everyone to participate regardless of gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation. On its website it says: “We know that the stork can take many routes to bring a baby into your family. As long as a new child has been welcomed into the family nine months after your Nooner, we'll be celebrating with you!”
If you’re far from wanting a child any time soon, don’t worry. You can still take advantage of their Nooner deal to ensure quality, undisturbed time together.
