Last night's presidential debate between Vice President Joe Biden and President Donald Trump was so chaotic, it left newscasters and political analysts flustered. After more than an hour and a half of nonstop disarray—which included the president's constant interruptions and under-his-breath remarks; the former VP's now-famous retort, "Will you shut up, man?"; and moderator Chris Wallace struggling to keep order—multiple networks followed up with commentary, and let's just say their pundits were reeling.

"I'm just gonna say it like it is: That was a shitshow," CNN correspondent Dana Bash said.

"That was a hot mess, inside a dumpster fire, inside a train wreck," journalist and host Jake Tapper, also of CNN, said. "That was the worst debate I have ever seen. In fact, it wasn't even a debate. It was a disgrace."

"Clearly, this was the most chaotic presidential debate I have ever seen," Wolf Blitzer, a journalist and news anchor, said when the cameras jumped straight to him. He added that he wouldn't be surprised if this was the "last presidential debate."

"That was crazy. What was that?" asked NBC's Savannah Guthrie.

"It was a train wreck," Chuck Todd of Meet the Press answered. He also placed the blame on Trump, saying he "bulldozed" over the moderator and Biden.

"It was a pure train wreck," he later added. "I don't know how that helped anybody. If you were watching this as an undecided voter, I don't know if it helped at all."

Joy Reid of MSNBC, speaking to Rachel Maddow and Nicolle Wallace, said, "It just seemed like a man who was out of control, like Donald Trump physically could not stand to hear truths about himself."

There are still two more presidential debates left: one on October 15 and another on October 22. But the vice presidential debate between Senator Kamala Harris and VP Mike Pence is up next, on October 7.

Let's hope they only get better from here.
