Hot FM suspends Shuk Sahar over alleged affair

26 Jan – TV and radio personality Shuk Sahar has recently been suspended by his employer, Hot FM following the backlash over his latest extra-marital affair.

The news was confirmed by the management of the said station, stating that the decision to suspend the comedian was made to enable them to investigate the issue further as it had already gone viral on social media.

However, Hot FM assured that the suspension would be temporary.

"We will announce any new development regarding the suspension after we have concluded our investigation," the station added. The suspension was effective from yesterday (25 Jan).

It is noted that the radio station itself has been bombarded with netizens' comments about Shuk's personal affairs, with many demanding for him to be fired or threatening to boycott the station if they continued to employ the "Maharaja Lawak" alumnus.

The issue sparked earlier this week, after Shuk's wife Rossalenah Natassiah Asshafera, or Sera, alleged that Shuk had cheated on her yet again with the same woman whom he had an affair with in the past.

Shuk and Rossalennah tied the knot in 2015 and have two daughters, ages four and one.

On the other hand, the 'other' woman in question, Fara Salleh, alleged that she had been receiving various threats via WhatsApp and calls from people following the allegations made by Sera, adding that she will be filing a police report.

She also stressed that her relationship with Shuk had already ended.

To date, Shuk has remained silent.
