KUALA LUMPUR, July 13 — Hong Kong actor-chef Nicholas Tse has slammed the media that continuously uses his relationship with singer Faye Wong as tabloid fodder.

Tse was forced to prove his nine-year relationship with Wong was still solid after various media outlets reported that the couple had separated.

Quoting sources, the outlets had claimed the couple parted ways amicably.

However, when approached for confirmation, Tse denied he had split from Wong, Ming Pao reported.

“Stop messing with us, can? Go away,” the 42-year-old reportedly said.

According to Asia One, this was not the first time the couple was rumoured to have fallen out.

Last November, they were said to have broken up after a short video of Wong began circulating on social media. It showed the 53-year-old leaving a gathering with dishevelled hair and looking like she was crying.

Social media users concluded she and Tse had split then as they were last seen together in public in April 2021.

However, the couple was seen together at Beijing Capital International Airport on March 11 this year. Wong was also seen looping arms with Tse at the same airport on March 16.

The couple had first started dating in the late 1990s before breaking up in 2002 and Tse went on to marry Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung in September 2006.

Their marriage, however, ended in June 2011.

Tse and Wong was said to have rekindled their relationship in September 2014 when they were spotted kissing in Wong's apartment and spending time together.
