Homes in East London Evacuated as Fire Burns in Dagenham

Fifteen fire engines and approximately 100 firefighters have been deployed to contain a fire burning in Dagenham, East London, on Tuesday, July 19, according to the London Fire Brigade.

The brigade said two people have been taken to the hospital after suffering smoke inhalation, and that a “number of properties” have been evacuated.

This footage shows smoke from the fire billowing over trees and structures in the area.

The brigade declared a major incident on Tuesday, July 19, and asked people to only call 999 in case of an emergency or an immediate risk to life.
