Homes and cars flooded after heavy rain in Pattaya, Thailand

Homes and cars were submerged in waist-deep water after heavy rain caused flash floods in Pattaya, eastern Thailand, this morning, September 17. Footage shows the scene on a suburban road where residents had to move to the upper floors of their homes to avoid being drenched by the tropical deluge. Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines are in the middle of their tropical monsoon rainy season, which lasts until October or November.
