Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Last week Tony (Nick Pickard) suffered a seizure after Edward (Joe McGann) spiked his drink during a family lunch.
At the hospital Edward told Tony that a scan showed he had a brain tumour and later his father convinced him that he needed to have surgery immediately.
Tonight (May 12), a scared Tony was getting ready for his surgery while Diane was remaining optimistic and grateful for Edward's help.
When Tony went in for his surgery, a worried Diane waited outside with Verity joining her.
We saw Edward sedating Tony as he lay on the operating table but the next thing viewers saw was Edward coming to tell Diane and Verity that the operation was a success.
When Tony was taken back to his hospital room, Verity observed how suspiciously her father acted when Misbah asked to see Tony's medical file.
Verity waited and confronted her father with the file and asked why he didn't remove the tumour.
Shockingly, Edward confessed to his daughter that he faked the whole thing and added that she wasn't going to tell a soul.
But how can Verity possibly keep quiet now she knows the truth about her father's evil plan?
Hollyoaks airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm. Wednesdays through Fridays on E4 will feature classic episodes called Hollyoaks Favourites to compensate for the soap suspending filming.
