Hollyoaks spoilers follows.

Mitchell Deveraux has learned more about his siblings' horrifying childhood, following a confrontation with brother Toby Faroe in the latest Hollyoaks episode.

Toby (Bobby Gordon) has been consumed with anger over being abandoned by the Deverauxs in favour of Mitchell as a child, even accidentally killing Lisa Loveday recently because he thought it was his brother.

Monday's (September 28) first-look episode gave Toby a new reason to panic when he discovered that there were pages missing from The Red Door, the book written about the bizarre social experiments conducted on the Faroes as children by Dr Ramsey Ley.

Toby had lost his cool after discovering that Martine (Kéllé Bryan) and Mitchell (Imran Adams) had a copy of the book, with Celeste (Andrea Ali) having to step in to calm him down.

Nevertheless, Toby warned that it was only a matter of time before "the beast was unleashed" if people found out what was written about him in The Red Door.

His worst nightmares came true when he discovered that one of the Deverauxs had stolen the pages Celeste had torn from the book. But which one?

At a family dinner, Toby spotted the missing pages in Mitchell's bag, so he called his brother for a private meeting so he could "explain himself".

With Mitchell swearing that nobody else read the pages, Toby encouraged him to "keep it between us" until they could meet the following day.

Mitchell promised that the secrets wouldn't "go any further", as Toby smiled sadistically behind his back and warned: "I know it won't."

Is Toby still planning to kill his sibling?

Hollyoaks continues Mondays through Thursdays with first-look episodes on E4, airing at 7pm. Encore presentations air the following evening at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
