Hollyoaks star proud to be part of show's LGBT+ community

Hollyoaks actor Gabriel Clark tweeted his excitement over joining the soap earlier this month, with a particular focus on its "growing LGBT+ community".

Following Aeden Duckworth's departure as Ollie Morgan, the young star was announced as his replacement in November before debuting onscreen shortly after.

Posting a thread on Twitter, Gabriel began by declaring: "I love my job SO much".

His message also mentioned: "Thank you to everyone who [has] sent such lovely messages over this last month! There's so much drama to come and I'm so excited to bring it to screen and proud to be part of such an amazing cast! (And a part of the growing LGBT+ community on the show!)."

Commenting in their droves, Hollyoaks fans showered Gabriel in support and praise, with one individual replying: "You're honestly so amazing and deserve so much love and happiness in your life. You bring a smile onto all of our faces. Keep up [the] amazing work."

"You are doing a superb job as the new Ollie! Kudos to you and welcome to the family," added someone else.

Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4. Classic episodes, titled Hollyoaks Favourites, air on Fridays at 7pm on E4.
