Hollyoaks star Jude Monk McGowan is teasing what fans can expect from Liam and Warren's impending showdown.
The villains will cross paths when Liam tries to intimidate his old flame Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) by leading a group of thugs to trash The Dog in front of her – thus provoking to Warren stepping in.
Jude recently chatted to Inside Soap about how the two bad boys will match up, admitting Liam will "underestimate" his new foe at first.
"Warren definitely isn't someone you should underestimate – you do so at your peril," the actor said. "But I think, initially, Liam totally does that! Liam's been top of the tree, dealing all of the drugs and he hasn't faced any real competition that was all that serious.
"So, this is the first proper head-to-head threat to his authority in the village."
Although Warren will be going after Liam because he believes the drug dealer is responsible for Mercy's shooting, Jude insists his character won't be backing away from a fight.
"[Liam] would certainly put money on himself to defeat Warren," the star said. "He has the connections, and he has some powerful people behind him.
"And the thing about villains is that they're only ever as good as their adversaries. There is going to be a showdown and a battle between these two – and it's been a lot of fun to film."
Jude went on: "It's not going to be completely one-sided. There's going to be a lot of to-ing and fro-ing between them.
"I know there are a lot of hardcore Warren fans out there, but hopefully some people will want to see Liam win, too."
Hollyoaks airs Mondays through Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm.
