Hollyoaks looks set to be welcoming Nadine Mulkerrin back to the set as Cleo McQueen.
The actress has been on maternity leave since autumn 2019 – giving birth to son Reggie in October – but she's now back in the frame after a short tease on Instagram Stories today (August 24).
Nadine uploaded a picture of three different Hollyoaks scripts with her name on the top, alongside a flashing "YES!" sticker.
Production company Lime Pictures declined to comment any further on Nadine's return when contacted by Digital Spy.
So, although it's currently unclear when Cleo will be on our screens again, the wheels certainly seem to be in motion.
At eight months pregnant, Nadine had to film her final scenes as Cleo before going off on maternity leave.
Discussing the experience of juggling work and heavy pregnancy, she previously said: "Everyone was amazing. The directors, the camera crews, everyone looked after me, I ate loads of biscuits, I got to sit down a lot.
"I did keep thinking, 'Reggie is going to be thinking my mum is mental because she just keeps screaming the whole time', but hopefully he knows it was just acting."
She continued: "It was nice having him, and sometimes I'd be doing a scene and he'd kick and for a second, I'd kind of be taken out of being Cleo. I found it quite funny to experience. It was amazing, I loved having him in there."
Hollyoaks airs weekdays on Channel 4 and E4.
