Hollyoaks fans will see Scott Drinkwell consider leaving the village next week, ready to cut ties with Mitchell Deveraux for good.

Scott (Ross Adams) has tried to move on from his short-lived relationship with Mitchell by enjoying a new romance with Azim Desai instead.

Next week, Scott has to decide how seriously he feels when Azim (Nav Sidhu) is offered a new job in London.

Azim wants Scott to leave with him and is delighted when he agrees.

Scott's big news comes as Mitchell continues to hide his sexuality from his grandfather Walter.

After Walter decides to meddle in his grandson's love life, Mitchell reluctantly goes for a date with Abigail, a girl from the church.

The situation is awkward for Mitchell, especially when Scott's drag alter ego Anita Tinkle is performing at The Dog at the same time as the date.

Mitchell ends up getting drunk and comes on too strong, scaring Abigail off.

The next day, Scott starts to have second thoughts about leaving with Azim, wondering whether it's really the right thing to do.

Mitchell also begs Scott for more time so they can be together, but Scott refuses and walks off with Azim.

On the day that Scott is due to leave, Martine warns Mitchell that he's running out of time to declare his feelings.

Mitchell races to stop Scott and finds him at Marnie's patisserie. Scott challenges Mitchell to prove his feelings by kissing him in public, but will Mitchell agree?

Plus, could there be trouble ahead when scheming Celeste (Andrea Ali) witnesses this emotional moment?

Imran Adams, who plays Mitchell, recently told Digital Spy that he believes there's still hope for his character's relationship with Scott.

"I'm not going to ruin anything for you, but I think that there's someone out there for everyone," Imran explained.

"When you meet that person, it doesn't matter if you're in Armageddon, there's not a lot that can keep you away from each other. It's just about that path to finding each other, which I think will be an unforgettable Hollyoaks story."

Hollyoaks airs these scenes on Monday, February 3, Tuesday, February 4 and Wednesday, February 5 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
