Hollyoaks spoilers for next week follow.
Romance will be blossoming for John Paul McQueen and PC George Kiss in Hollyoaks.
Next week, Sally St. Claire (Annie Wallace) will start to play matchmaker between teacher John Paul (James Sutton) and the County Lines drug investigator PC Kiss (Callum Kerr).
Sally thinks John Paul is interested in PC Kiss, and manages to annoy him when she tries to find out if the police investigator has similar feelings.
During a row between John Paul and Sally, Matthew-Jesus (Matthew Clohessy) surprises John Paul by questioning if he prefers boys or girls.
The distraction lets Sally get back to her matchmaking ways, as she arranges a special visit at John Paul's home from PC Kiss the following day.
John Paul is practically cringing with embarrassment as Sally clearly tries to set the two up, but is there a chance of romance genuinely blossoming between the two?
Earlier this year, Callum Kerr hinted that "there could be a nice relationship" in the works for PC Kiss to juxtapose the hard-hitting County Lines drug storyline.
Fans had suspected that PC Kiss might be the dead person John Paul was seen crying over in the New Year flashforward, though Kerr downplayed such speculation in a chat with us.
"I'd love to have a long, healthy stint on the show," he insisted. "But George is in a very dangerous line of work during a very dangerous time. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed – I pray that it's not me in the bag, but I don't know that myself yet. I've not read the stories that far in advance!"
Hollyoaks will air these romantic scenes on Tuesday, April 28 and Monday, May 4 at 7pm on E4. Repeat screenings will be airing on Monday, May 4 and Tuesday, May 5 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
