Over the last few months, Hollyoaks viewers have seen Juliet (Niamh Blackshaw) drawn deeper into Jordan Price's (Connor Calland) drugs business, and now the teen is set to transform her look as the storyline develops over the next few months.
Juliet's new look was first teased in the soap's New Year's Eve flashforward episode last year, which saw the County Lines drug plot heavily featured as the village's teen characters and their families were all caught up in the storyline's devastating consequences.
After meeting Victor, Juliet is even more motivated to climb higher up the ladder in the County Lines drug dealing operation.
Alongside Juliet's transformed look, the character also featured in another of the flashforward's big surprise twists when Juliet professed her love for Peri Lomax (Ruby O'Donnell).
Viewers have already seen the seeds for that storyline planted earlier this year too, and back in May actress Ruby O'Donnell teased that there will be more Juliet and Peri scenes on-screen soon too.
"Obviously it's going to take a bit longer now as we've reduced the number of weekly episodes, but in the flashforward episode they end up confessing their love for each other so something has to happen for that to be the end product," she said.
"We've already seen loads of fan accounts for Peri and Juliet and there's lots more to come."
While the soap's coronavirus-enforced production shutdown has inevitably prompted a number of behind-the-scenes storyline changes, Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox previously told Digital Spy that she has faith the soap's bosses will still be able to get the flashforward storylines back on track.
"I think the flashforward is now going to have to be a bit more of a fastforward because we've now got less time to film the journey that leads up to it," she said.
"But I know that all of the ideas are there. All of the dots are there waiting to be connected. I'm sure that Hollyoaks will pull it out of the bag and we'll all be watching it saying: 'Ah, it all makes sense now!'"
Hollyoaks will return to Channel 4 and E4 on September 7.
