Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Juliet Quinn made a very dangerous decision in the latest Hollyoaks episode.
Juliet (Niamh Blackshaw) and Sid (Billy Price) were last seen being forced into drug boss Victor's (Benjamin O'Mahoney) van, as he demanded answers over who'd grassed up Jordan to police.
Viewers know that Sid is the one who turned in his cousin, after Jordan threatened to kill Juliet for growing too close to Victor.
Wednesday's (October 7) first-look episode picked up on a very ominous note. Juliet and Sid were tied up in the forest, while Victor shouted at them to give him answers.
Showing them he had a gun in his back pocket, Victor warned: "If you keep lying, things are going to get nasty."
Victor blindfolded the teens, then ordered them to "say their prayers" because "the world ain't gonna miss a pair of street rat drug pushers".
As Sid screamed for Victor to stop, the drug boss untied them and dismissively told them that he wouldn't "waste a bullet" on them.
"That's what I call an initiation test," he explained. "See if you got what it takes. Most people try to run when I leave them on their own, but you're the first person to break down in tears."
Victor derisively called Sid a "street-level dealer" and nothing more, commanding him to run away. He kept Juliet behind to tell her she was "ready for the big time".
Though Victor offered Juliet that he'd back her as "the new Jordan", she did scoff when he mocked her for dressing like a kid.
"It's time to grow up, Juliet. Show the world you ain't a kid any longer," Victor insisted.
Later, Juliet shocked Sid by revealing Victor's offer. Sid tried to talk her out of accepting, reminding her how the job turned Jordan into a ruthless, would-be killer.
"I don't want to lose you," he begged.
Even though Sid asked her to call Victor and refuse the job, Juliet walked away in a huff. Back at the Lomax house, Leela revealed that Courtney would be staying with Sid while she went to care for a sick auntie.
The next time Juliet was on-screen, she'd debuted an all-new look — and was back to antagonising Marnie as she stormed out of a family dinner.
"There was me thinking coming out would take care of teenage angst," James quipped.
Juliet headed off to the The Dog carpark, where she called Victor to accept the job as "the new Jordan". What will this mean for her future, and for best friend Sid?
