Hollyoaks stars Jessica Fox and Anna Passey may have had one of the most notorious soap feuds on-screen, but they are surprisingly close in real life.

This week's Hollyoaks Favourites episodes revisited their infamous rivalry to win Darren Osborne's affections, which saw Nancy Hayton nearly driving off the side of a car park and then exposing Sienna's fake pregnancy.

Looking back on the tense episodes, Jessica and Anna revealed that their actual relationship couldn't be any different from Nancy and Sienna in those days – in fact, they're sharing a huge life event soon.

"I love Anna," Jessica now says. "We get on so well – I don't think there is a day we don't exchange a text, meme or song.

"She's one of my bridesmaids! So when we actually get to work together we are just very naughty. We laugh a lot. I wish I could do more of it!"

Anna added: "We are excellent friends in the real world, so working together is a treat."

In recent years, Nancy and Sienna have even managed to make peace while working together at the school.

"I think what Sienna went through with [abusive head teacher] Laurie, and how she tried to help Sinead out of her abusive relationship, made Nancy sympathise with Sienna," Anna explained.

"They are both teachers now, and I think Nancy has finally believed there has been a real change in Sienna."

Jessica weighed in: "They have bonded over a love of stationary! I guess if two people live in the village long enough, they have to find a way to get on – even if that person stole your life, locked you in a boot and left you to die, drugged you repeatedly and had you committed."

Seven years after their infamous on-screen feud, Anna still considers Sienna and Nancy's rivalry her "favourite storyline" during her time on Hollyoaks.

"Jess is such a fantastic actress and it was so much fun playing the villain that broke up one of Hollyoaks' most iconic couples," she declared.
