Hollyoaks' James Nightingale is struggling more and more with his guilt over his part in Jesse Donovan's death.

James (Gregory Finnegan) and Grace Black (Tamara Wall) are currently trying to keep quiet about Mercedes McQueen's shooting case, but all the secrets seem to be catching up with his conscience.

On the day of Jesse's funeral, James is very tearful and nervous-looking in a clip released on Twitter this week.

At the wake, Courtney makes an emotional speech – which only heightens his guilt about what he had done.

She says: "This is where we got married. It was supposed to be the happiest day of his life, not his last.

"You know, I'll never understand why something so cruel had to happen to my husband, my kind, loyal, innocent Jesse of all people.

James then blurts out that Courtney needs to know the real truth, and appears about to confess it all... But we'll have to tune in on Monday (February 24) to see what really happens.
