Hollyoaks hints Toby Faroe's next victim could be Martine as she asks him to move in

From Digital Spy

Hollyoaks appeared to hint at a potential new victim for Toby Faroe (Bobby Gordon) in E4's first-look episode on Wednesday (September 30), when he made a surprise move.

Toby had a very heated exchange with his parents Martine Deveraux (Kéllé Bryan) and Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) in which the latter asked why he shouldn't call the police on his son after he attacked him.

The two exchanged some hard home truths before Toby abruptly left. Martine then opened up to Felix about why she gave their son away all those years ago in order to "give him a better life".

"If I could do it again, I'd build a proper family," she said, sharing how she regretted not being there to protect him and look after him.

After Felix told her it wasn't her responsibility to help him now, Martine said she wanted to make a go of things "more than anything". They almost shared a kiss, but Martine pushed her former lover away and scolded him for trying.

"Toby's not the losing battle, you are. I can't change you, but I can change him," she told him as she warned him not to go to the police.

Determined to make things right, Martine eventually caught up with her son and asked him to move in with her so they could try and mend their relationship. Toby agreed.

Martine said he could use Lisa's (Rachel Adedeji) old room that night "while she's away", not knowing her son had actually killed her and that meant he'd be sleeping in the bedroom of the person he murdered.

Celeste watched their exchange from afar. Toby turned against his sibling last night (September 29) after she discovered that he'd been intent on killing Mitchell too, but had decided against it after they bonded. He then warned his sister that she was no longer in control.

"Are you finally ready to move on?" Celeste asked him tonight, telling him they came back for "revenge" and "not murder".

"Without you I'm free," he hit back.

"Martine is mine now and if she proved herself she'll have nothing to worry about."

"What if she doesn't?" Celeste asked, to which Toby stayed quiet and instead gave a very dangerous look. Could Martine be about to be his next victim?

Hollyoaks continues Mondays through Thursdays with first-look episodes on E4, airing at 7pm. Encore presentations air the following evening at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
