Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has hinted at more danger for Mitchell Deveraux next week, as Toby Faroe's past is revisited.

Mitchell (Imran Adams) narrowly escaped death at the hands of his vengeful brother earlier this month, when Toby (Bobby Gordon) tragically killed Lisa Loveday instead – in a case of mistaken identity.

However, upcoming scenes will see Toby's sinister streak rise to the forefront again when the details of his traumatic childhood look set to be exposed.

Martine will be horrified when she spots that Damon has got a copy of 'The Red Door' – the experimental book written about Toby and Celeste as children – among the bag of belongings he is putting together for Liberty.

As Martine reels from the discovery, Mitchell thinks they should read it to understand Toby more but Toby is furious when he catches them.

Although Celeste tries to calm him down, Toby is frantic when he realises that some pages from the book have gone missing.

When Toby and Celeste are invited to a family meal later on, Toby decides to find out who is behind it. As the night gets underway, the mystery is soon solved when Toby spots the pages in Mitchell's bag.

On a mission, Toby summons Mitchell to his flat to "discuss the book" but it seems that he has a more sinister plan in mind for his brother.
