Hollyoaks' Ellis Hollins explains unhappiness with his body as he shows ripped transformation

From Digital Spy

Hollyoaks star Ellis Hollins has opened up about his recent physical transformation, admitting he was "unhappy" with his body beforehand.

The Tom Cunningham actor first unveiled his body transformation last year, and more recently showed off his progress during lockdown.

Opening up about the change, Ellis told the Daily Star: "I was unhappy where I was physically.

"I was always the unfit, asthmatic kid at school and I couldn't do sport to save my life. I got fed up with that and I got the chance to start going to the gym regularly, and I've been going for two years now. It's really starting to pay off and I feel a lot better about myself."

Speaking about the reactions he got after posting the Instagram pictures, Ellis admitted: "I'm flattered by everyone's kind compliments and words about my body and the journey I've made.

"I've shared that with people who wanted to see that and I'm grateful for the reaction I've got. A big part of me is work and then gym. I was lost when I couldn't go to work or gym during lockdown but I'm in a good place now."

Writing at the time of his original reveal, Ellis said: "So glad I've gone from Mr. Blobby to what you can see on the right picture from today.

"Last year I'd have never had the confidence to upload my nipples and I on social media, but these past months have given me so much confidence to be myself, and stop myself from being so self conscious, with @mazfreshpt helping me every step of the way i'm on route to being the person I finally want to be."
