Hollyoaks' Edward Hutchinson tells Verity that he wants Diane back
Hollyoaks villain Edward Hutchinson decides to share his masterplan as his daughter Verity returns to the village next week.
Edward (Joe McGann) can't resist confiding in Verity as he steps up his cruel plans to destroy his son's marriage.
Ever since he arrived in the village, Edward has had his sights set on Tony's wife Diane (Alex Fletcher).
His early success was thwarted when Tony (Nick Pickard) returned from his ordeal on Breda McQueen's pig farm, but that hasn't stopped him from trying to undermine his son ever since.

Next week, Diane confides in Leela Lomax (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) about how she had a fling with Edward when Tony was missing. Leela advises that Diane would be better off keeping quiet if she wants to keep Tony.
Deciding to focus on the future, Diane spends some quality time with Tony – leaving Edward seething as he hates seeing them so happy.
Later in the week, Verity (Eva O'Hara) turns up at Diane's flat for a catch-up with her dad.
Edward then "kindly" makes a romantic meal for Tony and Diane to support their reunion. However, once he's alone with Verity, he tells her that it's all an act and he wants to steal Diane back from Tony.

Mischievous Verity certainly isn't standing in Edward's way on this one, so he ploughs ahead with plans to make Diane jealous by flaunting his relationship with Marnie Nightingale (Lysette Anthony).
After telling Marnie that he doesn't want anything serious, Edward makes a point of showing Diane how much he's enjoying his carefree romance. Will this have the desired effect?

Meanwhile, Hollyoaks fans can expect a romantic element to Verity's return too, as there's still a spark between her and Sami Maalik (Rishi Nair) when they come face-to-face again.
Verity helps Sami with a legal case and impresses James (Gregory Finnegan) with her straight-talking too. Could the trio be a new dream team?
Hollyoaks airs Verity's return on Tuesday, March 3 at 7pm on E4 and Wednesday, March 4 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
