Hollyoaks' Darren Osborne sparks concern as his depression story continues
Hollyoaks fans will have noticed that long-running character Darren Osborne has been struggling with depression since the end of last year, and soon some of his friends and family will start to realise something is up as well.
In scenes set to air next week, Darren will find himself stressing over a comedy lunch event that he's organised but completely forgotten to promote, and he becomes obsessed with trying to sort it out.
However, that means he'll end up forgetting important things, like picking Oscar up from school and making him an outfit for World Book Day. He's also going to oversleep and has to be woken up by Jack.

Nancy won't react well to Darren's actions, and will unleash her anger on him. What she won't be aware of is how much her words are affecting him inside.
Later in the week, Jack will try to question Darren's behaviour, only for Darren to lash out at his dad in order to hide how depressed he's really feeling. Luke will try and get in touch with his friend, but Darren will decide to ignore all his calls and texts.
Will Darren's friends and family be able to get through to him and help him get the support he needs?
Hollyoaks airs weekdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing at 7pm on E4.
