Hollyoaks continues McQueens blackmail mystery

From Digital Spy

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has dropped another major hint over Silas Blissett's accomplice in the blackmail plot against the McQueens.

It was revealed earlier in the week that serial killer Silas (Jeff Rawle) has been behind the Seven Deadly Sins blackmail threats against the McQueen family members — starting with Sylver (David Tag).

However, a wrinkle in his latest plot is that Silas is working with an unknown accomplice, sparking numerous theories over who might be conspiring against the McQueens.

While on the phone with the accomplice in Thursday's (October 22) first-look episode on E4, Silas confirmed that this mysterious person is someone quite close to the McQueen family.

"Your access to the McQueens has proved invaluable," the killer revealed. "The game has already started. That family will fall. We will make them destroy each other.

"I will be here to watch the final act. I wouldn't miss it for the world."

Silas then crossed paths, inadvertently, with fellow killer Toby Faroe (Bobby Gordon), who was feeling gloomy following his latest troubles with the Deverauxs.

Taking notice of Toby's bad mood, Silas guessed that "a lady" must be to blame for upsetting him.

"The women around here never seem to get any better," Silas quipped with a grin.

The post-credits scene offered some insight on what's next for Silas's plot, revealing that Sylver's long-lost daughter Cher Winters (Bethannie Hare) could be next on his list.

Cher already admitted — within earshot of Silas's recording devices — that she has long kept hidden that she killed her younger sister many years earlier. Will her loose lips come back to haunt her?
