Hollyoaks has revealed when the show will return to five nights a week.
The Channel 4 soap returned with new episodes in September and amid continuing coronavirus-related filming restrictions, has only aired new episodes from Monday to Thursday, with E4 airing a classic repeat on Friday nights.
"IT'S TIME for the first Hollyoaks of 2021, TONIGHT!" The tweet reads.
"PLUS, Hollyoaks will be going back to FIVE NIGHTS A WEEK, every weeknight starting from the 18th January!
"AND... It's New Year Trailer day! So, keep your eyes peeled today, to see what's coming!"
The caption is accompanied by a picture of Silas (Jeff Rawle) lurking behind Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe), as the pair are set to come face-to-face in a frightening showdown this January.

Other New Year storylines which will play out in the village include Toby's new relationship with Cleo sparking concern from his family, Joel making a surprising confession, and Theresa pushing her luck too far.
The aftermath of Ella Richardson finally confessing her part in Jordan's death will also unfold.
Hollyoaks will resume airing five new episodes per week from Monday, January 18 on Channel 4 and E4.
