Hollyoaks airs new Nico return scenes as Liberty struggles

From Digital Spy

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Nico Blake continues to haunt Liberty Savage in eerie Hollyoaks scenes.

Fans were convinced that Sienna's long-dead daughter had returned, following scenes where her voice could be heard trying to convince Liberty to keep the baby she'd carried for Sienna and Brody.

As fans have suspected that Nico could be a hallucination caused by postpartum mental health problems, Tuesday's (September 29) first-look episode offered hints that could support this theory.

In the latest E4 episode, Liberty (Jessamy Stoddart) was shown in the maternity ward apologising to a nurse – but the nurse's back was to the camera for the entire scene.

"I told you. Brody and Sienna will make perfect parents," Lib insisted as the nurse walked out. "I said I'm sorry!"

But when Damon (Jacob Roberts) arrived seconds later, he asked who exactly Liberty had been talking to, as he'd not seen anyone before entering the room.

"I'm not keeping the baby… I had a wobble. A major wobble, but just a wobble," Liberty explained to him.

Later, Damon got Liberty out of the hospital to meet up with Sienna and Brody for some coffee. All initially seemed well, until Liberty once again saw the mysterious nurse watching her from the distance.

A Hollyoaks 25th anniversary trailer released earlier today has confirmed that the mysterious nurse is indeed Nico Blake, but as a figment of Liberty's imagination.

When will Liberty's loved ones find out that she's struggling with postpartum mental health issues?

Hollyoaks continues Mondays through Thursdays with first-look episodes on E4, airing at 7pm. Encore presentations air the following evening at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
