Hold on to your kilts, we've got your first look at “Outlander” prequel, “Blood of My Blood”

The first images from the prequel series feature the young versions of both Claire and Jamie's parents.

Entertainment Weekly can exclusively debut the first images of Outlander: Blood of My Blood, the highly anticipated prequel to Starz's hit series, Outlander.

The first images give us a glimpse of the show's two central couples — Jamie's parents, Ellen Mackenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), and Claire's parents, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine).

The photos hint at the bond between both couples. Ellen and Brian stand, dressed in traditional Highland tartan, holding hands, and in another image, they share a tender moment.

The pictures of Julia and Henry showcase the two of them sharing a drive, as well as a romantic embrace.

Blood of My Blood will follow Ellen and Brian's love story in 18th-century Scotland, as well as Julia and Henry's romance in World War I-era England. Matthew B. Roberts, the current co-showrunner of the mothership series, is writing the prequel and executive producing along Outlander stalwart Maril Davis. Outlander author Diana Gabaldon will also serve as a consulting producer.

"We’re thrilled to be telling the stories of these two couples," Roberts previously said in a statement. "The origins of their relationships explore universal themes that transcend time periods and we’re so excited for fans to discover and fall in love with these characters and their love stories the way they have with Claire and Jamie."

Blood of My Blood has yet to announce a premiere date, but the 10-episode season is currently filming in Scotland. Fan favorite characters will pop up with Sam Retford as the young Dougal MacKenzie, Rory Alexander as the young Murtagh Fraser, and Tony Curran as the wily Lord Lovat. Additional cast includes Séamus McLean Ross, Conor MacNeill, Jhon Lumsden, Sara Vickers, Peter Mullan, Sally Messham, Terence Rae, Sadhbh Malin, Ailsa Davidson, Annabelle Dowler, and Harry Eaton.

The second half of season 7 of Outlander will debut later this year on Friday, Nov. 22.
